Youth Ministry: New this year!

This Sunday, September 7 at 4 pm, we’ll gather in the parish office for our High School Youth Ministry Kickoff Ice Cream Social! We’ll share this year’s calendar and talk about opportunities to grow in faith through worship, service, and fun.

✨ New this year! We’ll have monthly gatherings after the 5 pm Mass for discussion, games, and PIZZA. Our first gathering will be Sunday, September 14th—don’t miss it! Here are some upcoming opportunities for youth to get involved: 

• Service – SF Zoo Saturday, Sept. 13 | 8–11 am A great chance to serve! Just so you know, the gates close promptly at 8:15 am and do not reopen. Bring gloves, work clothes, a hat, and water. Details can be found here. I'm unable to attend this event due to a prior commitment, but I'm hoping opportunities like these would be great if you need service hours. 
• Fun – Six Flags Great America Saturday, Sept. 20 Would you be interested in a parish trip to Six Flags Vallejo? We’re looking at buying a block of 10 tickets if there’s enough interest. Email me at [email protected] if you’d like to join. 
• Service – Baking for Simple Needs Coming Soon (Saturdays) We’re organizing a chance for high school youth to bake cookies to support the parish’s Shelter meals program. Let me know if you (or your teen) would like to be part of this! Also, if you have a lot of kitchen experience (knife skills), teens are welcome with a parent to help at regular shelter meals. 
• Youth Trip – LA Congress Youth Day (with optional Disneyland!) ✨ February 2026. We’re planning to attend Youth Day at the LA Religious Education Congress, with an optional Disneyland visit afterward. More details will be shared at Sunday’s Ice Cream Social. 
• Worship – Altar Server Training & Youth Choir ✝️ Be part of our liturgy at the 5 pm Youth Mass by serving at the altar or joining the choir! This is an excellent way to develop your leadership skills and share your talents with the parish community. Sign-ups will be available at the Ice Cream Social.
