At all Masses on the weekend of October 25-26, we are collecting clean, gently used or new clothes and shoes for the entire family. No high heels or toys. Men’s clothing is in particular demand. These will be brought to St. Anthony's. WPlease put these items on the baskets by the Parker Avenue doors or on the Altar rail. Thank you as always for your generosity!
Volunteer! The St. Ignatius Shelter Meal Program fosters community, lifts souls, and nourishes the bodies and spirits of homeless people and volunteers. A shared meal is one of the most fundamental forms of human interaction, and a fine meal, carefully prepared, is an act of love. We create a temporary oasis from the harsh realities of life on the street. In an environment of warmth, hospitality, compassion, and fun, people relax, regain strength, and renew their self-respect and purpose.
Get ready for a multicultural hospitality following 10 am Mass on October 26th as Saint Ignatius parishioners celebrate who we are and the wide variety of places our families originated. You are asked to bring a sweet or savory treat that represents your cultural, racial or ethnic identity. These treats will be shared during hospitality as we get to know more about each other. We want to see lumpia, spring rolls, Focaccia, soda bread, scones, abelskiver, butter cookies and cornbread as well as any other treats that you identify with your heritage. They can be home-made or store bought. If you like, you can fill out a card telling us about when these treats would have been eaten and what you remember about them. For more information, contact Marsha Holm at [email protected]. This event, which is being sponsored by the Anti-Racism Committee (ARC) and Laudato Si, is one of many ways Saint Ignatius wants to celebrate the differences that make us a family as we fight against racism in all of its forms. Bring your treats to the Manresa Gallery, in the church, on the Fulton Street side, before the 10 am Mass.
With the passing of Pope Francis and the election of a new pope, the Church faces a pivotal moment. What direction will the global Catholic community take? How will the vision of synodality—listening, dialogue, and shared leadership—shape our future? Dr. Vanessa G. Rotonodo, noted theologian and scholar, will explore the challenges and opportunities ahead for the Church.
Help sort with Simple Needs! Sunday, October 26, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Where: Room next to the Blue Room (formerly the bookstore)
We’ll need about five youth volunteers for this project.
Thanks!

Households who have recently registered as parishioners are invited join us for an informal welcome reception on Sunday, November 9th, right after our 5pm Mass, in the carpeted area at the back of the church. You'll have a chance to meet our pastor, Fr. Greg, connect with other new parishioners, and learn a few easy ways to get involved in parish life. We'll have some light snacks and drinks for everyone, too.
To help us know how much hospitality to provide, please RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to attend!
