Youth-Led Pilgrimage: Join Us as Pilgrims of Hope for Creation : A Jubilee Year Celebration during the Season of Creation
In this Jubilee Year and during the Season of Creation, local high school youth invite you to join them as Pilgrims of Hope for Creation — a prayerful, peaceful pilgrimage in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, the beloved patron saint of our city.
️Feast of St. Francis Weekend – Saturday, October 4, 10 am – 12 pm
Pilgrimage begins at Blue Heron Lake Boathouse (50 Blue Heron Lake Drive)
⛪ Ends at St. Ignatius Parish (650 Parker Ave)
Final gathering and BYO Picnic on the Welch Field, next to St. Ignatius Parish
This event is co-sponsored by the University of San Francisco, St. Ignatius Parish, St. Ignatius College Preparatory, and Bishop O’Dowd High School.
The pilgrimage is youth-led, but all are warmly welcome — elders, families, students, and all generations are invited to walk together in solidarity, reflection, and hope for our common home.
A simple handout/guide will be provided to support your reflection along the way.
We are officially registered with the Pilgrims of Hope for Creation network.
Let’s walk together — across generations — in faith, unity, and reverence for creation.
Bring your friends, your family, your walking shoes… your hope… and a picnic to share at the end!
