Simple Needs Sunday

At all Masses October 10-11 we will be collecting items for St. Anthony's. Simple Needs will be partnering with Laudato Si' to support St. Anthony's Free Clothing Program. St. Anthony’s runs San Francisco’s largest free clothing program, providing new and gently-used clothing to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty (always distributed free of cost to recipients). 

Please bring any of the following items to Mass that weekend:

• men's coats/jackets
• men's, women's and kid's underwear (must be brand new)
• men's jeans
• men's and women's sweatpants and sweatshirts
• men's shoes

Simple Needs Sundays are regular Parish collection drives in support of the most basic and urgent needs of our homeless and struggling neighbors. Essential everyday items that are in constant need and short supply on the streets, like toiletries, socks and underwear, or a warm jacket and cap in the winter, are collected on a rotating basis at Masses on the second Sunday of most months. These are distributed locally through various Catholic service agencies directly to those most in need.
