This Saturday will be our monthly St. Ignatius Parish Bike Ride. As is our tradition, we'll meet at 9:30 behind St. Ignatius Church, roll down through Golden Gate Park and along Ocean Beach to Sloat Blvd, then meander back up together. Participants should be comfortable with an intermediate level ride of about 12 miles round trip including moderate sustained hill-climbing on the return. Your bike should be in good working order. See you out there! We generaly ridde on the first Saturday of the month. New cyclists are welcome!

Please join us October 5th in Fromm Hall for a special adult faith formation talk from a local rising star combining her faith and work for a better environment! Dory Miller is a senior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Legal Studies, with a passion for climate solutions communication and engaging children through environmental education. Guided by her Catholic faith and Jesuit education at St. Ignatius College Prep, as well as her love for nature, she is committed to ecological justice and caring for our common home. Dory produces episodes and researches climate solutions for UC Berkeley Law’s Climate Break podcast, facilitates a class at UC Berkeley that trains students to teach environmental justice curriculum to elementary and middle school students, and has published articles for the environmental non-profit EARTHDAY.ORG. Her advocacy journey began as a founding member of the Bay Area Youth Climate Summit, and Dory continues to empower young people to participate in climate action through storytelling and education.

Confirmation students (7th and 8th graders) will fill all Liturgical Ministry roles at this Mass. These special Masses, Youth Masses, happen during seven 5 pm Sunday Masses during the Children's Faith Formation program year, September 2025 to May 2026. People who have been confirmed in previous years, but who are still in high school may fill-in as needed. Everyone is invited to these Masses. A signup form will be available here closer to the program year.

Volunteer! The St. Ignatius Shelter Meal Program fosters community, lifts souls, and nourishes the bodies and spirits of homeless people and volunteers. A shared meal is one of the most fundamental forms of human interaction, and a fine meal, carefully prepared, is an act of love. We create a temporary oasis from the harsh realities of life on the street. In an environment of warmth, hospitality, compassion, and fun, people relax, regain strength, and renew their self-respect and purpose.
